Sisterhood

Ladies:  The YIDB Sisterhood is a vibrant and active organization that runs many varied programs.  While our ultimate goal is to raise money for the Shul, we do it in a way that stimulates and entertains us.  YIDB started in a storefront, expanded to two and then three before moving to our beautiful building.

The first Sisterhood president was Martha Schneier.  Back in the beginning, the ladies of the Sisterhood would actually cater the programs by cooking in the Shul kitchen.  In past years, YIDB Sisterhood ran many successful functions including a New Members Tea, Chanukah Party, Spa Day, Challah Bake, Fashion Show, Purim Seudah, and, our most profitable program, Shalach Manos gifts.  In the off season we continue to provide social gatherings and meetngs, such as our Koffee Klotch.

This coming year we are hoping to expand our projects to possibly include a small trip, theatre party and the return of Mah Jong Madness.

We are always looking for new ideas and welcome any input - so please join us.  We look forward to welcoming any new members.  We will certainly benefit from your presence and you will have the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.
